2/10 Poor

Horrible
The rooms are very nice… but thats the only good thing that I have to say. The room is a cabin, located in the middle of a forest. Its pitch black and hard to navigate through the trails. The trails are uneven, and full of rocks and sticks. I sprained my ankle walking through that mess in the dark with the flashlight that is provided. There is no sign outside saying the name of the hotel, nor are there roads- you are driving down gravel paths to reach the hotel. The room is designed in a way that aesthetically pleasing… but the room door is made of wood, and is full of cracks, so naturally many bugs get inside. When I woke up, my husband and I were COVERED in bug bites. There is also no TV, wifi, or hot water in the room and the water has a foul smell. Would never stay here again! Terrible!

Nice stay on the way to Coba
Nice property, if the breakfast was at least with a toast( it contained of coffe, anf fruits only) I would give the best rating. For anything extra for breakfast you have to pay. That place is for travelers with rental car.

Peaceful Jungle Setting
Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Casa Mango. Adone is a wealth of local knowledge and a wonderful His cozy hotel is very comfortable and well situated for a day trip to Valladolid or to the ruins and cenotes nearby. Casa Mango is a perfect, secluded jungle getaway - with the added bonus of a very nice Italian restaurant on site!!… hand made pasta anyone?

It's been over a year since I stayed here and I still think about this magical place. Tucked into the jungle not too far outside of Tulum. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. It truly is the unique experiences you have that makes a trip meaningful and this experience made our Mexico trip so much better. I'd HIGHLY recommend staying here. Bring pesos if you want to eat there because they have a dinner menu and make the food for you homemade. We had the gnocchi and it was delicious. Bring enough to give a big tip because they deserve it! By they I mean the lovely wife and husband. They built the beautiful cabanas themselves and have a walkway to a fenced area you can look at their farm animals. The breakfast was so delicious. Such gracious and kind hosts! The cabanas don't have AC so if that's what you're looking for, it's not here. But c'mon live a little and stay in this beautiful magical setting you won't find just anywhere!

Fabulous accommodations, gracious host, remote
Beautiful facility, gracious host, lovely gourmet, Italian food. A bit remote although centrally located for many attractions. Much of how you feel about staying here will depend on what you want for location. A bit too remote for our teenagers, but a beautiful cabana, very large and comfortable. In the midst of a jungle a few blocks from the center of a very small Mexican town. Perfect for some folks and a bit too remote for others. Proprietor and family were gracious and absolutely lovely folks with wonderful gourmet skills.

Amazing experience
Bungalows in the jungle. It's really beautiful there. I have never been to such place before and it was amazing. The last 100 m of the access road is unpaved and a bit rough. It's in the jungle -- you might find spider or something on the wall. If you have phobia of these, might not be the best place to stay.

Interesting hotel in the jungle
Adone, the owner, greeted us on our arrival at 21:15, and helped us to our room, explained things, got us some beer - a nice welcome. The hotel consists of spacious rooms, each with numerous beds that can sleep at least four people. The rooms are actually separate, rustic villas that you get to by short jungle paths. Adone gave great information on local cenotes.

4/10 Fair

Rustic hotel
Looks nice in pictures but the rooms are tiny with almost no room to stand or sit outside of the gigantic bed. Poor lighting, dank bathroom, and no wifi in rooms. The food in the Italian restaurant is absolutely tasteless, though the breakfast of fruit, fresh bread and coffee is great. Very friendly hosts but paid too much for this place. No wifi in rooms is unthinkable for any traveler these days.

Attractive small hotel by Italian owner
Nicely built attractive small hotel built by Itailian owner, set in small town close to nature. Great Itaian food prepared by owners family. We enjoyed the animal garden a lot where donkey, pics, chicken and ducks living friendly together.

High end service in a rural seting
The owners do everything possible to make your stay memorable, starting with a free beer or wine while he takes 20 minutes to describe all of the available activities (and their costs) within 30 kms or so of the hotel. They have an amazing first class menu of home made delights for supper, and breakfast is complimentary.(It is not hard to tell that he used to manage a high end hotel. It is a very rural location and they have donkeys and chickens. The hotel is about 15 minutes outside of Tulum.

Beautiful and picturesque setting.
This ins a truly unique hotel. Three private cabañas in a beautifully landscaped setting. It has all been sensitively done by the owners. Our room was so clean with a lovely shower, fresh towels, comfy beds. It is what you would term rustic, but don't let that fool you into thinking it wasn't a bit of luxury! Adone is a marvellous host, really friendly and knowledgeable about the sights to visit in the surrounding areas, especially avoiding the tourist traps, and promoting the more eco-friendly places. The food is fantastic home cooked Italian, using only the freshest, seasonal and local produce, a lot from their own grounds. I could not recommend this enough if you want a jungle experience! Be warned though, the jungle is noisy at dawn!!!
