The service at this hotel is the best that I’ve had anywhere in the world (and I have travelled extensively): the staff were attentive and exceptionally helpful, remembering who we were and what we had planned. Lam in particular was brilliant from start to finish, offering us advice, messaging us with useful information, helping to troubleshoot when we had issues with our e-sims and Grab, and getting us tickets for the Water Puppet show.
We booked a junior suite which was spacious, comfortable and beautifully presented . The bed was fabulously comfortable with high quality bedding, and the aircon was good and powerful (which was a relief as it was very hot and humid during our stay).
Our room had a tiny balcony overlooking the street - not big enough for chairs, but a good spot to watch the world go by. The door to the balcony was badly fitted so we got quite a lot of street noise, but you expect that in the Old Quarter. The location was excellent for sightseeing in the Old Quarter and there was a huge choice of cafes and restaurants close by. The lake and water puppet theatre are 5 minutes walk. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to visit.
The views from the rooftop bar are excellent and there is a happy hour (5.30-6.30 I think). The prices are a bit expensive compared to the bars on the street, but cheaper than other rooftop bars I’ve been to - would be a great spot to watch the sunset.
