Xinyi

Xinyi's ultra-modern skyline is dominated by the towering Taipei 101, a symbol of Taiwan's economic might. Shoppers flock to the district's glass-walled luxury malls while business types hustle between corporate headquarters. "Two reviews because I got two rooms for my extended family. Again, great hotel in ideal location. Really clean and roomy with attentive staff and perfectly located to easily move around Taipei. Bathrooms are large and beds comfortable. FYI, for whatever reason this hotel, along with the other 4 we stayed at in Taiwan, does not utilize hooks nor have dressers/drawers. Be prepared to live out of Suitcase. Not an issue per se, but odd."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Taipei

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Taipei is between July and September, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those looking to explore the city's significant landmarks, cultural sites, and historical attractions, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. During this period, visitors can enjoy budget-friendly dining, visit museums and temples, hike scenic trails, and immerse themselves in local culture, all while benefiting from great value for money. Prices may drop further during these months, making it a perfect opportunity for travellers on a budget.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Taipei on Hotels.com, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections, where you may discover discounted hotel options as your travel date approaches. Additionally, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and exclusive last-minute promotions, helping you save on your stay. Furthermore, with Smart Shopping , you can compare hotel prices and amenities directly through the app, ensuring you're informed if rooms become available or prices drop, allowing for a spontaneous getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so having flexibility with your dates could help you save on your stay in a Taipei hotel. Boutique hotels, for those seeking a unique experience, may offer a more personalised service and potentially better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average, and if it appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you find a more affordable option.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive; however, with Taipei's outstanding public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located further out that remains well-connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
