"We stayed at the Roaders Hotel for just over a week in early August. We had two rooms: a Deluxe Double (DD) and a Standard Double (SD). The DD was located at the corner of the building and had a decent view. It also had a working air conditioner, which is a must in Taipei during August. The size of the DD was decent compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in Taipei and Asia. There was a desk, chair, and enough room to put our luggage on a rack or the floor without it being in the way. Personally, the beds were too firm, almost like sleeping on the floor. Maybe appreciated by others. The SD was a bit tighter in space, but it was still okay. One just has to be okay without having a window, which can be a challenge, but I think it’s worth the savings. We weren’t in the rooms that much anyway. Ironically, the fun lounge with the games, noodles, snacks, and drinks that we spent a good amount of time in is in the basement and also doesn’t have windows. The staff was nice and always greeted us when we saw them. The location is a standout, being close to everything, particularly the MRT.
I wouldn’t hesitate to consider staying at the Roaders Hotel again the next time we’re in the Ximending district. "
