8/10 Very good

Fantastic hotel , exceptional service
Initially the room we were given on the 5th floor was quite poor and not what we expected coveted , very limited light, low ceilings , loud air con. But after one night they changed our room without fuss and it was fantastic . Really enjoyed our stay and for the price we got our rooms at we were both extremely happy , staff were fantastic and helped without expecting any tip . Great food service and accommodations ( except the 5th floor !)

Worth staying
The room is decent and good, especially it has a heat conditioner which is quite rare in Taiwan‘s hotel. Staffs are friendly and the service is good. Both sauna and breakfast are crowded, though the facilities are superb.

8/10 Very good

Regent is a well-established five star hotel, but I think its facilities are tired and many designs are outdated. For example, the Ethernet lines are so short that it’s difficult to connect to one’s computer. Or, the number sockets around the desk are not sufficient. Or the desk light is very very dim. Rooms are also not very sound proof. Other than that, the soft product (i.e., service) is still above average for hotel of such scale.

4/10 Fair

underwhelmed and dissapointed
In general a good hotel with friendly staff but very dissapointed over the fact that it never was communicated during my booking that the breakfast buffet was lifted. The quality of the breakfast set was on par with a 2/3 star hotel. Also, although they advertise the pool as an area to drink coctails in their pictures, it is not possible to order any drinks. However drinking water is OK which invalidates that this has anything to do with COVID. They dont allow guests to bring own drinks either, making the pool a very sterile and boring experience. Not impressed and wont come here for a weekend getaway again, back to Hyatt. I am sure that I will receive a thank you message for this feedback but lets see if any change will actually happen.
