Pretty, comfy, maybe some training for the desk?
It’s a pretty place. The in-room housekeeping staff works hard, but many of the desk staff could use some training. Ex, we didn’t have heat in our room and by the time someone followed through and attended to it after hours of us asking, it was too late and we were offered a heater. No one fixed it the next day until we asked several times, then no one took the heater out. No one called or asked if everything was okay. It’s January in London, it was cold. To pay for a room without heat wasn’t great but to not be checked on feels strange. There are several very friendly people standing around but it feels like no follow through. The breakfast buffet is just ok, average with nothing inventive or particularly interesting, few gf options other than toast and the sunny side up eggs are greasy. The yogurt is just two options. The fruit is watermelon and melon and just not beautiful. It’s a lovely hotel with lots of potential. It just needs less managers, more assistant managers who actually get things done.
