Coral Island is an older hotel that needs some TLC that is located right on the Malecon - terrific location. Staff are very accommodating and breakfast is excellent and very convenient.

The rooms are small than what they appear online pay attention to the square footage.. They charge 250 pesos for each person for day passes to the pool, if you had anyone come that isn’t on your reservation.. The service was good but it is an older hotel and needs some updates.

The property is convenient for me. It was a little unsettling when staff was rude. I requested ice at 9:30pm and was told there was none as the restaurant was closed. The menu said it closed at 10.

The staff was friendly, and the room was nice enough. Upon checking in, I asked where the pool was located because I really wanted to cool off, but they told me the swimming pool was out-of-service. I feel this should have been communicated pre-booking, and if that wasn't possible, a discount offered at check-in. This is a pretty major issue in the Mazatlan heat, and since they use a beautiful photo of their pool as the main hotel image on Hotels.com.

4th visit here. It is our Pit Stop on our way down and back to Rincon de Guayabitos. Dog Friendly. Beach across the street. I had an issue in December here as they did not have my reservation even thought it was paid in advance thru Expedia with Cc Not happy but the professionalism of Maria certainly made the difference of coming back here. Maria checked us in again on our return trip 3/11. She assisted us with several request. As long as she is here we will continue to return. Thank You Maria👍😎
