    Very disappointing

    We stayed here from 31 Dec to 2 January. Check-in was slow - we arrived at 1:30pm which was before the check-in time so room was not ready - was told that room would be ready in an hour. Left to go for lunch and came back at 3:30 - room still not ready and we had to wait another 15 mins before getting our room - on arrival at room, staff were still sanitising room. We were also not told about where to go for breakfast and times, even though our room included free breakfast. Room was ok - we had a king suite (Room 1809) so was very spacious. Cleanliness was disappointing - found someone’s hair on the cushion on the sofa. There were also stains on the sofa. Water pressure for the shower not great. Bed was comfortable though. Room service was horrible. We know that it was NYE but didn’t expect our food to arrive COLD and 1.5 hours after ordering (when we ordered it said it would take 40 mins) - we also had to chase numerous times. We were also forced to pay when food arrived - they refused to allow us to charge to the room, very bizarre! We were also very disappointed when we weren’t allowed to exit through the restaurant to the pedestrian walkway by the canal on NYE and were told to walk to the next building via the main road and exit there, even though we were hotel guests! After much arguing, we were finally allowed to access the pedestrian walkway...overall, very disappointed with the entire experience at canal central - would not recommend.

    Not the best for Leisure travel

    Overall an average hotel for the price with much better options available. I would not recommend this hotel for leisure travel, it would be far more suited to business related travel with a requirement to be in the business bay area. the hotel is a minimum 25minute taxi from most tourist attractions. The rooms are perfectly comfortable and clean and provide everything required (fridge, iron etc). Generally service across the hotel was polite and friendly but was rather slow and required a lot of chasing/reminders. The pool area is rather dated and fills up quickly, unfortunately only receives sun for the morning as the hotel itself casts a shadow over the pool in the afternoon.

    Restaurant G Floor Breakfast Restaurant Lillys 3 Floor Staff is helpful and friendly. The room is very clean. They have a Tourist Agent there. Very friendly! I recommend to go on the first day. Because sometimes is overbooked. This hotel is near from everything and you can easily reach taxis.

    Nice hotel in a quiet area. The room was basic & average size. Disappointing that it was supposed to be a city/marina view but due to construction we were looking directly into a building site. The hotel didn’t appear full so I think we could have easily been given a room with a better view. Staff at the pool including lifeguard were so friendly - due to how tall the buildings are in the surrounding area the pool does not get the sun for full day. We were chasing the sun & the lifeguard was so kind & moved the sun loungers for us every time. The food served at Lily’s garden too is so good! The very disappointing part of our stay - I bring 2 dolls on every holiday with me, I’ve had them since I was a baby so very sentimental. On our last night when we got back to the room after it was cleaned I noticed 1 was missing, we checked EVEYWHERE about 20 times including the fridge!! We informed staff & to say they were unhelpful would be an absolute UNDERSTATEMENT. They did nothing about it, after multiple phone calls & being told they would come back to us my partner had to go down twice to the reception. He asked them to check the washing incase it got caught in the sheets without the cleaner noticing, he was told informed this would never happen as the cleaners shake the sheets before putting them in the wash. After arguments back and forth & approx 4 hours later, staff appeared at the door with the doll & when asked where it was we were told “in the lying of the sheets”
