Hotel is in a retail/commercial area, but it was quiet and felt safe. There's a cinema next door and a few restaurants nearby. Casino also closeby. Less than 10 minutes across the river to Omaha.

I lived exploring the beautiful parks and hiking areas. If it weren't for the excessive heat while I was there, I would have taken in more.

This hotel is a newer property and they do maintain it pretty well. It's in a rather strange area, with a trucking company to the east. But we didn't have any issues and I'm sure it's fine.

It was decently close to the zoo but not as close as stated. You do have to get on the highway and that was not something that I had planned for but it all worked out.

Council Bluffs is an older town with the usual street issues, but overall good to get around. GPS in car was necessary to get to locations.
