I really really liked this hotel. It’s small and quiet, tucked away in the historical part of Kyoto. The staff were very attentive, and the rooms were not cramped like other hotels in Japan. A great deal for the price.

I loved the green tea that was available for guests, it was absolutely delicious! This was a lovely stay, with a really comfortable bed and great water pressure in the shower. Some downsides were the cups in the closet weren't super clean when we arrived and the outlets are awkwardly place behind the pillows in the bed frame, which makes it difficult to charge digital devices, since the chargers tend to fall out when you lay down.

Wonderful traditional style rooms that are cozy, the bathroom was great with the full size tub to soak in. Staff was excellent, kind, and very helpful. Location was amazing, tucked away on a quiet street, but in the middle of Gion district and close to many good attractions. I hope to stay here again!
