Fell in love with Dormy. The ramen at 9:30 and onsen were both great amenities. We enjoyed the breakfast as well which was a great selection of Japanese as well as American selections. The location was great. You can go to Lawson without going outside. Breakfast was fabulous. The only thing was the water of onsen. It’s probably because of all the foreigners not knowing the rules, but the water looked not clean and borderline gross. The one outside and the 1-person tub had cleaner water but I was looking forward to the actual onsen, so I was quite disappointed.

Dormy Inn is conveniently close to the Kyoto train & bus station with several interesting shrines, temples & parks close by. The hotel is clean, quiet & comfortable with very helpful staff. A large, traditional Japanese breakfast is available, and there are breakfast restaurants close by. Very nice & clean onsen + free laundry facilities. Recommend.

Being a first time male visitor to Japan, I never experienced an Onsen. The hotel featured one which was easy to navigate and use. You also got free ice cream for afterwards. The hotel was nicely located so that the bus, subway, and train was close by. It’s an easy walk from the hotel to catch a Shinkansen. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection. Highly recommend.
