The best thing about this pleasant place is the hot baths. Each room has a tiny tub, but downstairs there are baths, separate for men and women, that are like a small shallow swimming pool full of hot water, with adjoining areas to wash before you get in. Lovely! Pool has polished-granite floor and surround, and a sign says it's natural mineral water, but it smells and feels like ordinary water. Open 3pm til midnight. Wonderful.
Also the location is excellent, a mile or less from the bottom of the Philosopher's Way, and right across the street from two art museums. There are varied restaurants in easy walking distance and you can buy breakfast at the hotel. 7-11 on the corner has lots of takeout food and will heat it for you or there's a microwave in the hotel lobby, & drink vending machines. The staff are very nice indeed, tho with limited English. The rooms, tho clean, are nothing special, but the baths are special enough for anything!
