Check in is a nightmare if you are flying in from the states and arrive early. There is no attendant and the lobby is basically a waiting area. Most of the times the codes do not work until your check in time and even though this property does list as a pay at property - it does not work that way. That said, the rooms were lovely if a bit stuffy and warm. There is not daily maid service and your trash does pile up.

The bathroom was badly designed. Shower area is not a full enclosure and the shower floor was not slanted toward the drain so the water flowed outside the shower areas. The sink was so small and the mirror and the tray in front of the mirror was in the way that you cannot even wash your face without hitting the tray in front of the mirror. Whoever designed that bathroom was a bone head. Not fully thought of and never used what he has designed.

The property is self-service and we had some trouble with the automated locks. At one point we had to call for help and got assistance from a call center representative.

Very clean. Staff was always just a phone call . Check in was incredibly smooth and the bedding smelled amazing. Im a little disappointed i didnt realize we could go around the corner and claim breakfast until the last day but other than that it was a lovely stay.

They advertise that they have elevators, but one floor does not, and that’s the floor that my room was on, causing me great difficulty. Multiple problems with the room, but no one to help. Lights at the bed are controlled by a light switch next to the room entry door and by switches on the lights, but the switch on one light didn’t work, so I had to use the light switch next to the door. This turned off all the lights at the bed, so I had to feel my way back to the bed in the dark.

Very well kept, and good for parking. I asked for an easy room for luggage because I had breast surgery and still after taking the elevator had to go up two flights of stairs. Room was too warm and no air circulating inside the room. There’s no welcoming staff, not a number, had to wait for the next morning to ask a cleaning lady for a fan, and it was tiny. Room is beautiful and clean, but too many inconveniences to get some rest.

We enjoyed the lounge area, and our building had an amazing view of the mountains and water. It was also an easy walking distance to the city center.

Decent property but a bit of a walk from downtown. There is no front desk. Everything is self service which can be convenient but sometimes it’s nice to have someone available when you need something. The room had all the basics needed.

4/10 Fair

The room was dark and small and looked out to a concrete wall. No staff on hand for problems with the room. The shower was a wet shower with no way to sop up the water, we had to use the towels to be able to use the bathroom.

No way to get any customer service as there are no onsite hotel staff. You call and they are nice, but cannot help. They said that they offered an included breakfast, all three of us saw it on their website, then it was removed, and when we called about it, they denied they ever offered breakfast and asked us to prove it. Overall a rude experience. Rooms were like caves, dark, depressing, and looking out on a dark cement area, walls were institutional grey with darker grey accents. Over all an uncomfortable, inconvenient experience. This would be great for the under 30 crowd who don’t want any human contact.

Great First Impression
This was great place to stay. The checkin process and directions was spot on. The room was very comfortable and the cleaning staff were very friendly. Everything we needed was close by within walking distance.

Second time is not a charm
I don't know if it was were the room was situated but wifi was glitchy which made the TV pixilate often and connecting the laptop was impossible. It took of getting used too but the door did not want to lock easily so slamming the door to lock it was probably not appreciated by those around us. The location, though was fantastic and the room and facilities were amazing

The definitely served the purpose. We were grateful to be able access luggage storage so we could secure our luggage and explore the city. While I knew when we booked that check in was at 3pm, a bit of advice- we had a very early arrival time at the airport (6am) and after over 24 hours of traveling it would be so much nicer for those who have traveled to have the option of an earlier check in time because we were exhausted! Also, once in the room the shower situation was a bit overwhelming. Great water pressure and hot water but there was no enclosure for the water so we had water completely covering the entirety of the bathroom floor. We were not prepared for that. We were able to clean it up, but I think it is a safe bet that those in the room above us were experiencing the same/similar situation because there were clear “moisture marks” on the ceiling. Perhaps giving a precautionary warning for those traveling to Iceland that the shower is set up different to save that “oh no” feeling. The room was not very quiet but since we were exhausted we didn’t care much. We loved the feather down comforters they kept us nice and warm. Would stay here again!!

The keycoded system made it easy for people not staying in the hotel to enter. The door to the elevator and rooms was propped open. The lounge area was made available to us when requested, as we had arrived on an early morning flight. Our room was not ready for early check in. A lovely, housekeeper Jodie?? Showed us to our room when it was ready. The area quite local to the main attractions and within walking distance. Parking is outside, the later in the day you park the harder it is. A girl was mugged in her hotel lobby, which put me on high alert in Iceland. Be mindful, the mugging put a dampner on the center of Reykjavik and the pickpocket signs. Will be back amd probably stay here again, as it was a very clean and comfortable room. No complaints at all about the room.

Room was nice but as the property is not attended, we had codes to gain access. In addition, we had to travel thru so many corridors to get to our room. It just felt like ‘get smart’. Then our room door would not lock from the outside & so we did not move our luggage until after dinner.

Hotel was okay
It was okay, the doors to the elevator slam and waking everyone up. The bathroom had poor lighting and the shower leaked over the ridge after every shower.
