Overdue for some renos
Great location to access the attractions of St Kilda with 3 cafes and a pharmacy in close walking distance. The lifts were slow or unpredictable with the card detection. The bathroom shelf is angled so that your products fall off into the sink/toilet which happened both in places!
Our room was at the end of a hallway and the a/c had a lot of dodgy noises when it was on making it hard to sleep. Reception was 24/7 and helpful when we needed them. Coffee at the cafe is adequate with great service. If you want room service, the room needs to be empty early on in the day otherwise your room won't get serviced. Overall we got what we paid for and can't complain too much.

We had an amazon stay at the place. Everyone at the reception was incredible. It is about five minutes away from the beach. It is also well connected with trams.

Beds were comfortable. Despite being on Fitzroy Street, it was quiet. Staff were friendly and very efficient. Good cafe downstairs. Convenient parking.
The knob to switch between shower and bath didn't work well though, and we couldn't work out how to turn the room lights on (even after inserting room card). Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Room was fairly clean. The bathroom door could do with a good clean, as well as the vents that are thick with dust. The complimentary 'sanitary items' box in the bathroom was empty; not sure what was supposed to be in it (cotton tips? shower cap?), but it was pointless having it there. The walls were super thin; our neighbour was on the phone from midnight til maybe 4am, and it was impossible to block out his voice. The bed was firm on one side and had no support on the other; my partner put pillows under the edge to stop from rolling out overnight. So, pretty crappy sleep overall.
But it was otherwise clean and comfortable. Only saw one staff member and he was quite helpful and friendly.

It just wasn’t in a place convenient as we thought it would be. Bring senior cits we really needed to drive everywhere as most things are just a bit too far. You need to spend money on a myki card to use the trams and we would have been left with an unneeded credit.
Jay at reception was always helpful. The room was large enough and quiet, but spartan.
