A perfect place to stay in Melbourne and within walking distance to the Aus Open. Great, friendly service from all the hotel team we encountered. Loads of great eating places nearby too! Paid valet parking right next door looked after our car which was not needed as everything is within walking distance … or catch a tram/bus if you need to go out further afield. Would definitely recommend staying at Hotel Grand Chancellor Melbourne.

Lengthy check in and check out , primary lifts not working upgrading ?had to walk through fire doors and fire corridors to access alternate lifts. Great location and very reasonable rates. Rooms are a nice size and the balcony was a very welcome feature. Bedding and furniture in good condition. Staff were helpful and separate parking ($40 extra a night) is convenient though not run by the hotel.
