How to get to Vienna City Center

Vienna International Airport has excellent public transport links to the Innere Stadt, with two options for travel to Vienna City Center. The S-Bahn S7 is a standard rail service that takes 25 minutes to get to the central Wien Mitte station. The CAT by contrast goes to Wien Mitte directly, taking just 16 minutes, although it is a little more expensive. Once you're at the station you can take the U3 metro line into Stephensplatz, or catch a cab to your hotel. Vienna City Center is a delight to walk around, with all of its many splendid sights less than 15 minutes’ walk away.
