A comfortable stay
A pleasant pub/restaurant with comfortable bedrooms, well situated close to the railway station. The rooms are of good size and nicely equipped. Taylors makes a good base for exploring all that this area of Ayrshire has to offer.

Ok for a night
Would be good int he summer for kids as plenty to do. Very small room so one night it was ok. Not ideal for people with cabin fever!

Cheerful
Accommodation décor is starting to look a little drab and could perhaps do with updating. However the room was clean and comfortable. Family room consisted of a double room plus bunk beds in their own area for the kids and en-suite bathroom. Plenty of room and very pleasing. Bar area was family friendly and all staff encountered were cheerful, friendly and helpful.

The staff were very understanding when we complained about the noise from other guests at 3am and they did shut them up but this hotel is also a nightcluc and it doesnt say this when you are booking. We only stayed one night instead of 2 but they did give us a refund on the second night which we didnt expect.

A resting place for overnight, just a room, a roof and some food. All OK although the room booking was a complicated problem that management eventually sorted. Problem was the 'Hotels' system and the residence not talking to one another. Room OK, Bar noisy with a disco playing to no one. food very acceptable.

A Flying Scotsman call
I booked two rooms for the same night but at different booking dates. The twin room I booked, all the information was with the hotel from 'Hotels' but the second room, for single occupancy in a double bedded room, had not been delivered to the hotel from 'Hotels'. Absolute confusion at the hotel. I had receipts for the single occupancy as I had paid for it and a note stating that the twin room would be 'paid for on arrival'. Luckily there was a room available for the 'single occupancy' …. a family room at no extra cost. Hotel was very good … nay excellent ...… in sorting the problem and resolved to take issue with 'Hotels' although it did take 25 minutes to sort. 'Hotels' need to sort themselves out and make a considerable gesture to me for what could have been a disaster. The booking system for both rooms did not make it clear that breakfast ( in any shape or form) was NOT included. We paid for an excellent breakfast and it was taken early at a time to suit ourselves, 07-30 on a Sunday morning! Being Scotland and being an 'entertainment centre' in the town, the music did not stop until the early hours. Some rooms were above the noise! We had a fantastic three course evening meal, all reputedly home cooked. We did have a problem with hot water in the shower although the normal tap was perfectly OK. A problem that is being investigated by the hotel and will be sorted within 48 hours. Breakfast was 'cooked to order' and there was as much as we wanted. Will call again.

Good Little Stay
No issues, good place to stay fits the purpose, little outdated in some areas and bedrooms, but this suites the type of building and property.. it does not effect the stay, service, cleanliness of the property.

Taylors Hotel ,Kilwinning
The hotel was easy to find. Parking was plentiful and fairly close to reception.Check-in was easy. The room was 3-star with creaky floorboards and not very comfortable. There were two separate functions on, so it was very busy and extremely noisy. Thankfully the noise stopped at 1.00 o'clock as promised.
