Fine room, bad experience
Poor, unfriendly service from front desk staff throughout the stay. Check-in staff attempted to charge extra for check-in at contracted time, even when shown Hotels.com confirmation, claiming "our policy has changed." Laundry poorly done and must be collected at front desk as hotel will not charge anything to the room, even with card on file. A perfectly serviceable hotel at good price undone by uncaring and unfriendly staff.

Best Budget Value in Nairobi
There are no other world-class budget hotels at prices approximating those of the Ibis in Kenya. The comfort of the beds rival luxury hotels worldwide, the water is hot, the air conditioning works (you may have to request a fix for leaks), and the style is superb, amazing for the price. The rooms are small but that is irrelevant for the value received.

The rooms were very inconvenient, minimalistic. No drawers, no closet, no refrigerator, no chairs. You had to sit on your bed or use a collapsible stool hanging from the wall. There were two pegs extending from the wall to hang clothes, no bench or rack to put your suitcase, no counter space in the bathroom. The restaurants were good though.

Nairobi- ibis styles Westlands
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was good in all the restaurants we used. The roof top bar gives lovely views and is great for a cocktail or two. The standard rooms are plain but comfortable. Our only criticism is that nearly everyday we had to contact housekeeping via reception as towels had not been left and despite request to leave extra coffee/tea etc, none had been left. The location of the hotel is fairly good, though you need an uber or taxi to get just above anywhere The hotel is good value for your money
