I booked at the Villa 100 when I was planning a few days in the Dead Sea area. Several days before arriving, I saw some cheaper deals at some hotels by the Dead Sea and considered canceling, but am so glad I didn't. First, it isn't really a hotel; it is more of a bed and breakfast in a nice, quiet residential area. The rooms all have their own outside entrance, so you can come and go when you want. The yard is beautiful and relaxing, with lots of tables and chairs, a large patio area and a Ping pong table. It has a nice view of the desert hills north of Arad. The room was very nice, clean and modern. It had a large bed, flat screen TV, A/C, a small table and chairs, a bar fridge, a hot plate and some plates etc. if you want to prepare some food in your room. Breakfast was served on the front patio, and was filling and very tasty. The location of Arad is convenient to the west (back) entrance to Masada, and is about a 15 minute drive to the closest Dead Sea beach. I think it was around half an hour to drive to En Gedi. The best thing about the Villa 1000 is the lovely hostess. It may be because I was the only guest when I was there, but I felt like the house guest of a family friend. She is very warm and cheerful, and gave me good information and suggestions for local restaurants and sights. I would love to go back again with my family to stay even longer!
