Cute B&B with very helpful staff
The owner was very friendly and extremely helpful. She made dinner reservations at a fun local restaurant and told us about an alternate route to Masada.

Perfect location
We were greeted by the host who gave us some great tips. The place was quiet. If a person wants to do the sunrise at masada, this is the place to stay, its on the rampart side.

Misleading pictures and dirty old room
This villa was showing as having a kitchenette and the pictures looked great. However, we arrived at 8:30pm, and the host was rude to us, telling us she was about to close down. Then the room was nothing like the descriptions. There was no kitchen, nor hob. The bathroom was old and dirty/full of dust. The paint was scaling off the walls. The bed was quite uncomfortable. None of the services mentioned were available. The host told us that the picture was for the "super villa" - but this was not at all in the booking as an option. As a whole, the room we got was overly price for the quality and service we had. I would not recommend this place at all.

We stayed at the place for 4 nights and the hostess only showed up twice during check-in and check-out no housekeeping, cleaning or otherwise was performed even once during the time when we where, we also didn't get any towels when asked for some I was informed that she stopped providing then "going on vacation bring your own towels" since guests that stayed before used them to clean bicycles but she will provide them to me since I booked the place before that incident I she provide 2 bath towels for 4 days but no hand towels, I will not recommend staying there to anyone

This is in a residential neighborhood. Nice room, we felt very comfortable. Short ride to Masada on the Arad side and beaches on the Dead Sea. Cute town.

Wonderful!
What a quant and lovely place to stay. The bed was more comfortable than the 5 star Leonardo we stayed in! Rachelle was so sweet and even provided towels for the Dead Sea which saved us 36 NIS! We very much enjoyed the garden as well. FYI this is a pet friendly hotel.

This is a wonderful little hotel.
The owner is welcoming and friendly. We stayed 3 nights and by the 2nd day, we were referring to it as 'home'. The best part is the patio- the rooms are all off of the patio so each evening and night we would sit outside and talk. The 1st night she made reservations for us at Musa- a local restaurant with good reviews, which was quite good. She treated us like family. We had 3 problems come up that had nothing to do with the hotel (rental car issues, flat tire, credit card problem) but she helped take care of it, as if we really were family. After we checked out and noticed the flat, she sat and talked with us as 2 of our group went down to get the flat fixed at the shop she recommended. She also spent more than 30 minutes on the phone with the rental car agency for us. Her daughter came to our room the day before to let us use her cell phone to make an international call. Definitely treated like family, but not invasive. This is not an all inclusive hotel but what it is, is a comfortable quiet home away from home where you can interact with a local citizen. Each room has its own bathroom, refrigerator, hot water pot, and microwave. It came with a couple packets of coffee and tea, milk and a pack of cookies. We stayed here while touring the Negev region- one day down to Eliat and Timna park, one day to Masada, En Gedi and a Dead Sea swim- use the public beach at Ein Bokek. This hotel is in a safe residential area of Arad, on the backside of Masada.

Excellent place and staff
Very charming place and great helpful staff. It has a different character from that of a hotel, more like a bed and breakfast, with the rooms in a different location from the main house. Nice terrace and view.

Home from home
We stayed 4 nights at Villa 1000 during which time we travelled to Masada and Ein Bokek. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with views of the desert. Racheli and Zohar were amazing, great advice, local tips and lots of laughter. Breakfast was tasty and substantial. We really were made to feel part of the family. Hope to return soon.

Vila 1000
I stayed with my Mom for 1 night while visiting the Dead Sea. We could not stay on the Dead Sea because everything was full so we stayed here. What a pleasant surprise. On the edge of the desert, the rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable with a private terrace to enjoy the cool evening air. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Israel and the owners were helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend Vila 1000.

Great experience
Clean, quiet and very pleasant. As others have said, the inn-keeper is as charming as they come. The breakfast she cooked for me was delicious! The hotel is away from the touristy part of town. Very quiet with great views of the surrounding desert. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to stay on the way to Madada or the Dead Sea.

Pathetic. We drove for 8 hours to get there, nobody answered the door or the phone, we knocked, we went around the back, place was deserted. My wife needed the toilet so we left a note and went to another hotel. We booked for one night but ended up staying in the area for 4 nights, their loss. It makes no difference to me where they were, the fact is they were not there

Awesome "home" off the beaten path
I booked at the Villa 100 when I was planning a few days in the Dead Sea area. Several days before arriving, I saw some cheaper deals at some hotels by the Dead Sea and considered canceling, but am so glad I didn't. First, it isn't really a hotel; it is more of a bed and breakfast in a nice, quiet residential area. The rooms all have their own outside entrance, so you can come and go when you want. The yard is beautiful and relaxing, with lots of tables and chairs, a large patio area and a Ping pong table. It has a nice view of the desert hills north of Arad. The room was very nice, clean and modern. It had a large bed, flat screen TV, A/C, a small table and chairs, a bar fridge, a hot plate and some plates etc. if you want to prepare some food in your room. Breakfast was served on the front patio, and was filling and very tasty. The location of Arad is convenient to the west (back) entrance to Masada, and is about a 15 minute drive to the closest Dead Sea beach. I think it was around half an hour to drive to En Gedi. The best thing about the Villa 1000 is the lovely hostess. It may be because I was the only guest when I was there, but I felt like the house guest of a family friend. She is very warm and cheerful, and gave me good information and suggestions for local restaurants and sights. I would love to go back again with my family to stay even longer!

Nice, out of the way place
We enjoyed our stay. If you want something a little different than a giant hotel on the Dead Sea, this is a great and less expensive choice. It's a half hour drive to the Dead Sea but it was nice to be in a little town - very peaceful.

Highly recommended for relaxing stay
We had two very pleasant nights at Villa 1000, its an excellent location for visiting Masada and the Dead Sea. If you have a car its only a short drive to the Roman rampart walk up Masada which we found an easy climb and nice and shady in the morning. At Ein Bokek (only 20 mins away) we found free parking and a beach with shower so we had an enjoyable float and swim in the Dead Sea. Villa 1000 is much more affordable than the Dead Sea resort hotels and the manager was very friendly and helpful. She prepared an excellent breakfast for us. It is a pretty place with a large shady patio area and the weather in early June was perfect for sitting outside in the morning and evening. The units are small but have basic kitchen items, and a good shower, ceiling fan and air conditioner. We ate at a nearby Chinese restaurant where food and service was excellent and with 10% off and a free glass of wine, the price was very reasonable. In Arad we found a large shopping mall with a good supermarket and easy parking. Do not hesitate to ask the manager for any assistance you require as we found her very keen to help. I hope you enjoy your stay at Villa 1000 as much as we did!

We loved our short stay in the beautiful desert town of Arad. Rochelli, the owner, was very personable and gracious. This was the nicest place we stayed in Israel, which is quite expensive. Breakfast was very good too. Arad is a bit out of the way, but the drive there from the Dead Sea was worth it to get a sense of Negev living.
