Lovely building in a great location. No parking but street parking around the corner. Lovely bathroom with a huge roll top bath but not enough hot water to enjoy it, a shower would be more practical.

We had just the one night at the Silk House - and what a great night it was. Nick the owner was the most convivial of hosts and we had a great night in the bar singing, dancing and generally making merry. The room itself was quirky and comfortable although a little too warm. (Couldn't really open the window as it was on a main road). But otherwise a great stay! Thank you Nick!

Great hotel in the centre of Leek. It had everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble. A very friendly atmosphere and the breakfast was amazing. We will definitely stay again.

Nick was extremely helpful and made sure that everything was just right for us to enjoy our weekend stop-over in Leek. The Silk House is very well situated for all that Leek has to offer in terms of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. A perfect weekend and we will definitely stay again when we’re next in the area.

Was able to Check in at 12. Booked 3 rooms. Rooms had everything we needed with updated bathrooms. Lots of character within the building. Continental breakfast was good and managers were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Was a pleasure to meet them and stay at this hotel.

Lovely Independent Hotel with Exceptional Service
Stayed there for valentines, Nick upgraded us to a better room as we were a couple which was lovely. I had a tyre blowout the next morning and he couldn’t do enough to help. Sourced me another tyre and got us going again. What a gent - would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Beautiful character property and garden area stunning. The host is a real true gentleman hes very kind and very friendly and approachable . Nothing is too much for him at all.we have stayed before and we will definitely be back again soon. We feel so at ease and relaxed and peaceful n safe . Very very convenient for everything you could want in a beautiful town like Leek . Perfect really honestly its beautiful n its very very reasonably priced. We expected a lot more for the price...a few tins of paint would be a start,our bathroom as nice as it was smelled damp and mouldy Generally the inside of the hotel could do with some tlc Looked lovely from the outside but the inside is terrible....Premier Inn next time

Good location but no parking as advertised.
We only booked this hotel because it was advertised as having ‘parking available’ but it was general street parking - there was no designated parking which is obviously what we expected. There was no bedside cabinet on one side - so no lamp, and no way to turn out the light except to get out of bed. The table lamp we did have was very cheap looking and flickered. There was no mirror in the room - only in the bathroom and that misted up after our bath. The Jacuzzi bath was good, if a little noisy. Water pressure wasn’t great. Our room faced the road so lots of traffic noise for most of the night. Host was welcoming and polite.

The family room was excellent, it had a separate area for the children to sleep so we were able to relax in the evening. The lady who greated us was so lovely, warm and helpful.
