We stayed only one night. Unfortunately, there was a hot water issue… as in “no” hot water. We were notified promptly. Moxy waived the $32 destination fee. I did not feel this was fair compensation for $425 one night stay with an ice cold shower. After a few phone calls, they did resolve with a more fair compensation. Just wish it didn’t take a month for me to finally get something acceptable. All in all, we would stay there again.

Good generally, but not great...
Hotel was generally good. Great location and pretty good value for Midtown NY. The staff we interacted with were friendly but slow, and they only cleaned our room once over five days. The front desk staff also lacked knowledge sometimes, and did not follow through on requests for extra blankets, pillows, or water in a timely manner.

stay elsewhere
The room felt significantly smaller than described, and the unpleasant, pungent sewer odor was completely disregarded by the staff when mentioned. The noise from other rooms was incessant and intrusive, adding to the discomfort. While the bed itself was comfortable, it was accessible from only one side, so if you’re sharing the bed, you’ll need to climb over the other person. There’s also an additional “destination fee,” which can cover breakfast, but this wasn't explained to us at check-in. Ultimately, better value can be found elsewhere.

anniversary trip
Anniversary trip. Was there primarily for Broadway shows. Ten minute walk to most of the venues where plays were. Room was small but functional. Loved the security.

Don't stay here. I should qualify this review by saying that the staff were really great - helpful and friendly. However, this hotel needs to decide if it's a hotel or a nightclub. We were initially put into a room on a high floor opposite the rooftop club and it was impossible to sleep - it was literally like trying to sleep in the middle of a nightclub. I used earplugs and noise-canceling headphones simultaneously and couldn't drown out the noise. The music went on until 4am, and it was like torture for my husband who had just flown in from New Zealand and was exhausted. The bass vibrations right through the room were awful, too. The next day we asked to be moved and we were, to a lower floor (about 10 floors down), however the noise, while slightly less, was still inescapable. I pay for a hotel so that I have somewhere to sleep, not to have somewhere to be kept awake until the early hours of the morning. I understand that midtown is always going to be a bit noisy, but it was frustrating that the noise was coming from our own hotel. It was like being gaslit - pay for somewhere to sleep, but we won't let you get any! The location is fantastic - close to Penn Station and everything in midtown is walkable, however I would have traded all that for a decent night's sleep. If you're someone who doesn't mind never having any respite from noise and wants to stay up partying all night then this might be an option for you. If you like sleeping before 4am, stay elsewhere!

Stay with friends
Great time with friends at the Moxy. Very central location. Music was loud late into the night keeping some friends I stayed with up who were light sleepers.

There are much better choices near Times Square
Smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Bathroom sink was 2 inches deep and in the hallway to the entry door. No closet or armoire, just peghooks on one wall to hang your clothes. Had to crawl over the bed to lower the window shade - no space to walk around the bed. One 18x18 nightstand was the only furniture. Marriott should be ashamed to put their brand on this!
