A well located spot to crash between the proper city of Tulum and the beach/hotel district. I slept in one of the tents with an air mattress which was comfortable enough for a 20 something. All of the showers and toilets had some problem with water pressure. Other than that totally fine stay if you're on a budget. Use those savings to rent a bike from either the hostel or a nearby bike shop because everything will be just a bit too far to walk. You will get around fast on a bike than a car in the hotel district since it's a long simple 2 way road with no turn offs and over a mile of bumper to bumper gridlock at all hours of the day.

Not for the luxury minded
Postives - friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast, funky, good though noisy location, reasonable rates. Negatives - Water pressure, water pressure, and water pressure . .

A little treasure!
Such a fun little experience! My boys loved the tubes, and the little kitties that came with them 😉 fun experience for a night.

Do it if only you are stranded
From pics this hotel looked inviting and chill with cool concept. However, rooms are horrible, shower has no water pressure, if someone flushes in the bathroom you are getting burned. Shower drain was clogged so it was not very pleasant. Kitchen was dirty. If you are not first 5 people to breakfast then make your own eggs, staff wont make any. Laundry service was overpriced, in the city it was 50% off. Rooms get so hot, AC units in the pics are just a false sense of chill. We had AC running for 10 min, turn it off for 2 hours. It makes tiny rooms really cold. We liked hammocks, palm trees in the courtyard, cheap bicycle rent on site.

Nice option for a night, not too comfortable
The hostel staff is friendly and helpful. Shared bathrooms spotless. However, this tubo idea for the rooms was not the most confortable. It feels like they could do with better ventilation. They have AC, yes. But the AC is few centimetres away from your bed, so if you are not a big fan of AC I would not recommend them.

Unique hostel
Was a unique hostel. Internet is almost non existent. Close to ruins and to beach but not ON beach. Good budget travel option.

Amazing hostel in Tulum
I absolutely loved this place. It was a short drive from the beach and it was very affordable. It had a such a unique feel to it and I loved how they made the rooms. The bed was comfy, the place was very nice and clean, and the breakfast was great. If I ever go back to Tulum I will stay here for sure.

Not bad
Well presented unusual little hostel, very unique setting. Shared bathrooms were very nice, clean and with hot showers. The tubes themselves were relatively comfortable although got a little chilly at night so could have done with an extra blanket. Area felt safe but was a little in the middle of nowhere, quite a distance to the beach the ruins and the main restaurant/nightlife area. The breakfast was nothing to speak of, would recommend eating elsewhere.

Don't do it
This place is pretty cool looking on the outside but don't let that fool you. The smell of mildew in the tube is out of control. The space is small and uncomfortable. The location is inconvenient to both the town and the beach. The AC works so well in the small space that you will freeze all night. Your wet swimsuits and towels will not dry in the room and become stinky. With the amount of money we spent on washing all of our clothes and getting cabs everywhere we should have just gotten a better room. We nicknamed our room "The Dirty Tube" during our stay. Seriously there are better options in Tulum.

We left after only 30 minutes in our room.
My wife and I arrived late in the evening after reading good reviews and were excited to stay at such a cute and quaint place, however we left after only 30 minutes in our room. The lady and gentleman at the front desk were very nice and the service was pleasant, but there were just too many mosquitoes and the mattress and cover were so stained and disgusting that I contemplated sleeping with cloths on. I'm not sure if there were pillows, but a red centepede crawling from behind the bed was what made us leave. The the staff was more than accommodating and offered to give us mosquito repellent fresheners and incense to accommodate us, but we were too grossed out and were already covered in mosquito bites (I had 42 at that time) to stay. If you stay here, know it's more like camping (even if you have a tube room) just because you would need to bring your own sleeping bag and pillow, and watch out for the bugs. That, and we didn't really expect the tube to be as small as it was. There's really only room for one bag under the bed. I really wish it would have worked out. Perhaps we were expecting something else, but we've never stayed in a hostel before.

Sleeping in a Tube
We would have loved our stay if the power had not gone out. Unfortunately, the power went out at just this place. They were hoping to have it fixed by 10:30pm but we were exhausted and had a big day planned and did not want to take the chance. The staff refunded us our money and we moved down the street. It sounded like this had been a problem in the past and I hope they get it fixed. Without air conditioning your are sleeping in an unventilated concrete tube. There is enough air flow from two small screened openings that you wouldn't die but if would be unpleasant. Plus there are many mosquitos so leaving the door open wasn't going to work. We had spent one night there already with no problems and were looking forward to the second. I liked the mattress and my husband and I were able to sleep together on the double bed. We are both tall - he is 6'4' and ended up sleeping toe to head. Not very romantic but it worked. Breakfast was eggs, coffee, toast and cereal in the morning. It was ready a bit later than expected but we waited. The wifi worked all over and the area is very cute with hammocks and plants. I liked the calm location that was still accessible to everything. I'm not sure if we would stay there again, but we probably just had bad luck.

Great experience in the tubes!
The mattress was super comfortable and the ac worked really well, making it a really great experience for one night. The staff was fantastic and fellow travellers very friendly. Breakfast was very good and the location is pretty great too. Overall a once in a lifetime experience !

Unique and Interesting set up for a hostel
We are not used to hostels, and sleeping in a round tube where the bed is, but it sure was an interesting experience and the breakfast included was awesome. Needed taxis to go to and fro to the up or downtown areas and to the beach and ruins and cenotes for swimming in caves. Not the best location coming off of transportation, but it was near a major convenience store outlet. All in all it seemed so well run and efficient that it was a unique experience for our first time at a hostel instead of using a hotel.

Charming short stay
A quick solo trip to Tulum for the first time in my life. Fantastic service - the friendliest lodging staff I had ever met. I was dubious about staying in a tent, but I slept so well with the cool breeze that comes in the evening and waking up to a peaceful environment. The tents are set up with a light and a fan, as well as a fairly comfy mattress. All my needs were taken care of. My only complaint is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. This could be improved upon somewhat, which may (or may not) help to reduce the number of mosquitoes.

Quirky and fun
Max was excellent. He gave us a warm welcome. Breakfast plentiful. The tubo itself is tight for space, but for a few nights of something a little quirky, this place was perfect. Opposite the police station and near the main supermarket.

Tubo tulum
Definetly overpriced but it was comfy. The staff was very helpful and rooms were clean. The bathroom showers were clogged but overall it was a pleasent stay. The hostel is across the street from the red cross and police station. I recommend you reserve bycicles prior to getting there.

nice facilities, but way overpriced for a hostel type place (you get your own room, but it's literally just a bed in a concrete tube, bathroom and lounge are shared) Tulum has tons of hostels so check around for better prices, though if you to stay here, it will be pleasant.
