"My friends and I had such an amazing time here. The staff was beyond friendly , always went above and beyond. The pools were great and loved the pool bars. Drinks tasted great and kept on coming. Excursions around the area were so much fun. Only down side about this hotel is the restaurants they have are soooo small and super annoying to make reservations for. We ended up only trying two of the restaurants. The buffets however were tasty and offered good options!! "
"The Hotel is so big that it gives you the opportunity to burn calories. Always clean, everywhere smells good. The only thing was the Wi-Fi, you have to log in again in different places (maybe because its location is between the mountains) & also the TV cable doesn’t work by 1:00 AM. Anyway, me & my Family enjoyed our stay. We also there was nobody to give us the welcome drink at the lobby when we got there. After all, Riu Palace Costa Rica is highly recommended."
"The highlight of staying at this hotel is the beautiful gardens which surround the villas and pool. From our balcony we enjoyed looking out onto flowering tropical plants, palms and listening to the birds sing.
The photos in the ad for this hotel are exactly what you can expect. The villas enjoy the use of a small pool surrounded by beautiful gardens. It is a wonderful space to relax. I'm addition to having beautiful grounds the hotel is only a short five minute walk from the beach.
The villa itself was comfortable and very clean. It had a studio layout with a small couch and table and chairs. The balcony was a highlight for us and we spent time there in the morning and evening when it wasn't too hot.
The stairway up to the villa entrance could be cleaned. I don't think it was swept during our stay and dirt and leaves accumulated over time. At night ants could be seen crawling along the ceiling in the room which was unsettling, but they never bothered us. We learned during our trip to accept the presence of insects in our accommodations as part of life in a tropical climate.
Breakfast was included every morning at the restaurant and it was quite tasty. There were a few different options to choose from and each was accompanied with a plate of fruit and a glass of juice. We did eat dinner at the restaurant on our first day and the food was good but overpriced for what it was.
We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend."
"My sister and I just stayed 5 nights here with our 2 young kids and had a great time. The location was close to the beach and nearby town with stores and restaurants . The property grounds were clean and tastefully decorated. The staff were also amazing- the receptionist Gildie (sorry if that’s spelt wrong) was friendly and helpful with all our questions . The breakfast lady was also wonderful . Our only suggestion would be to switch up the breakfast options as they offered the same thing every day and it was limited , so after a few days we ended up buying some stuff in town to have. Overall a great place and we highly recommend it to anyone! "
