Getsemani is an amazing area. If you go down the street with all the flags strung between the buildings, and follow the murals, you will find the most amazing bars and restaurants full of spirit and amazing people. Rosario Islands for two days, too!

I know you have to be careful at night but man what a fun place. I was in the Old City on a Saturday night. Great idea. Tons of people having a great time, good food and drink, and super friendly people. My last night, I went into Bocagrande. Fun!

There are beautiful, well kept streets with a romantic feel of an older period. Some streets are a bit busier. The people are warm and welcoming. Even in January the weather was quite hot during the day with warm nights and the ocassional breeze.

It's a lovely and vibrant historic center. Beware of constant offers on the street to sell you stuff, show you places, or perform for you. Go and enjoy the shopping, food, nightlife and take a day trip to one of their many beautiful beaches.

The walled city is so vibrant and kept very clean. Some of the street vendors and panhandlers are very aggressive, so be prepared. I recommend a very early morning bike ride around the city before it gets busy with foot and auto traffic.

Cartagena has some hidden gems that we loved. Our biggest complaint would be all the solicitation. You can't walk 2ft without someone trying to sell you something, be it an excursion or trinkets. The vendors are very persistent.

I loved Cartagena but it may not be for everyone . It would be a tough place to go if you or someone with you didn't have basic Spanish speaking skills. It's a busy city with quick access to beautiful places and islands .

The walled city is spectacular my third visit and still have not discovered it all. The beaches are beautiful with many options. The rest of the city has a lot to do and see. Dining options for all budgets. A must see city

Cartagena is beautiful and interesting, with good food and lots of things to see.The only part that drives you crazy are the people trying to serenade you, sell stuff at every step, and they don't give up easily.

Cartagena is a must visit, but not too long. The heat can be so unbearable that consider visiting during early and evening hours of the day! Four days are enough if you are touring Colombia.
"The hotel was located right around the corner from shops, restaurants, bars. Although it was so close by it was quiet, we never had an issue in our room with noise from outside. The services were excellent, staff was friendly and courteous. They had two good size pools one on first floor and one on rooftop. I truly recommend and if im ever in cartagena again, i will definitely be staying here again. I absolutely loved the hotel and location."
"Wow. Wow. Beautiful property. Right across from the beach. Short taxi ride to the city or the mall. Great service! Cute greeting dog when i arrived (he bites a little) i highly recommend. Im making my next reservation now! "
"The resort is beautiful. The beach and water are beautiful too. Great service, beautiful view from my room. Highly recommended. Cons? It’s Cartagena, it means happiness, music, warmth people, smiles. I know it’s a French hotel, but hello, the hotel is in Colombia. Tourists want to feel their culture. Employees are too serious and saying madame all the time sounds ridiculous. Not their fault, obviously it’s what they need to do. Music (of course only from the hotel) at the beach would give a nice Caribbean touch. Also, the cocktails (not cheap at all) had little alcohol) The rest, the hotel is amazing. I will come back."
