Beautiful inn and amazing host
We had an amazing stay. The couple host were so warm and welcoming. Both communicates in good English. The wife served the best homemade original recipe Earlgray scone for breakfast and even shared her recipe to the guest. How amazing is that?! The husband even go beyond and explain the weather of the day, gave recommendations on where to eat and where to go for onsen. You will really experience the Japanese omotenashi at its fullest. The place is beautifully surrounded with autumn colors. If you are looking for a peace and quiet environment, be one with nature, hearing birds chirping in the morning then this is the place to go. We will definitely come back. Thank you

Great stay! Definitely recommend
Great stay, good location, very clean and cozy, delicious food and wonderful hosts. The hosts both speak English and can provide detailed information on the surrounding area and things to do. They also offer snow gear (things like skiing, snow shoes etc.) for a great price compared to rental shops nearby. They even gave us a coupon for the local onsen! I will definitely be coming back. The house was wonderful and dream like. Wish I was still there!

Nice inn in the mountains. Highly recommended!
An alpine inn run by a very warm and helpful family. The family was so helpful and attentive to everyone's needs. They were right there to pick you up at the bus stop any time it was needed and always ready and willing to help with any information about the area.
Highly recommended.

Wonderful hosts
This stay was made exceptional by the hospitality of the hosts, Osamu-san and his wife. They helped us plan our visit and gave us rides since we were carless. They even got our shoes cleaned without telling us after it rained our first day, getting our shoes muddy. And the food (breakfast/dinner) is truly an experience to be remembered, homemade with fresh mountain vegetables.
The owner and his family are very hospitable and friendly. I love the breakfast and dinner! The owner also provided very detailed information about the hiking routes and weather. I really enjoy the days in Norikura, thank you!
off the main road need to walk for 10 mins more. within 3min drive is a onsen house which can enjoy onsen bath until 9pm. the hotel itself don't have onsen. only hot water bath.
we needed to take early bus so did not book breakfast. but this family run hotel when requested was so kind to specially made american scone for us. very nice!
another opinion is for booking.com. There is no accommodation + dinner package at the website. when we arrived hotel and asked for dinner the hotel said no stock for us as we haven't booked. However it was so incovenient to find dinner place at the district. the hotel do offer dinner. why cannot book at booking.com?
