We were grateful for the friendliness and accommodation of the staff to our requests. This hotel is in a great location and the lodging is comfortable and clean. It is a work in progress as they are renovating it over time, and it has excellent bones. The food at the restaurant next to the lobby was very good! If you're traveling to the area and plan to spend most of your time outside, don't want to spend a fortune, and don't need a five-star hotel rating - I can happily recommend this location!

We like everything but the fact they have no elevator and we have bad knees and the tv kept buffing, and couldn't watch it most of the time

The only way to talk to anyone at the front desk was in a email or text , very inconvenient when i was trying to get checked in or when i was trying to lengthen my trip

The Pines was a great stay for a few days in Lake Placid. The hotel was dated but clean and charming. Location was excellent for accessing shops and restaurants.

Cold in room. Slept in hoodie. No hot water in sink. Needs major updating. Redneck Bistro was great. Mattress was comfy. Need heavier blankets in winter. If I stayed again I would bring a sleeping bag.

Great lovation just in town center, big parking lot, great restaurant in hotel which serves Polish-American food.
Will never rent any other hotel in Lake Placid.
It is just fantastic.

It was very old overall. Staff were nice except there were very few people working. The beds are loud and old/unstable. The bathroom was not very appealing either as the shower barely worked. No microwave or fridge. There is a nice large lobby though to hang out at with coffee and tea.

Dusty, dated, smelly bed cover, previous occupiers rubbish in the bin, very little water coming out of the shower, poor sound proofing, window blind was broken. Awful room

The bed sheets had body hair on them. Asked a member of housekeeping staff if she could change the sheets for us, and the response was "I have a lot of rooms to do, i'll try".

Well my family and I did not stay. The pictures were misleading and our room was not up to a normal standard. I wish I would have looked at the reviews before booking and am hoping to get some type of refund. I cannot imagine sleeping there and found a lovely place in Saranc Lake. The room was small, dirty, no amenities and a waste pipe sticking out of the ceiling.
