Long Weekend in Basel

I am usually in Basel at least once a year and of the four or five hotels I have stayed in this is definitely my favourite. It is conveniently located for the centre of the city and buses to the airport and railway stations and all of the staff on the front desk are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a large room, offered a late checkout and a discount voucher for food and non-alcoholic drinks, all of which were much appreciated.

This hotel is nestled in a quiet area. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. A bakery (great for breakfast treats) was nearby. We could walk to many places and we were right on the bus line to get to the train (and by staying we were able to ride the bus free). Also, the staff helped us navigate the buses and walking around. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Hotel Spalentor.

Exceeded all expectations. Great service from the staff, who told me all I needed to know about the hotel and Basel. We were warmly welcomed and provided with excellent information about the hotel, dining options and a Basel Travel card to use on all public transport. Reception staff were excellent. Public transport stops are located close by the hotel as is old town, which is an easy walk. Hotel rooms were a great size with very good amenities. The restaurant on site provides an excellent breakfast at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this Hotel.
