hotel is old and i think it needs a complete refurb

8/10 Very good

The hotel is a lovely place, the staff was friendly and very helpful. On the days when we stayed the unique bad things we encountered were noise guesses in the room next door, so we couldn't really rest as we expected but apart from that attention at the hotel in great!

Very cheap, very old and basic. Ok for a night
It is ok for a night. It is very basic so if you are looking for a cheap deal is ok. Disappointed with the water temperature in the shower. Was a bit cold for me.

Overnight stay
Room was what we paid for - cheap and cheerful. Nothing special. Windows were filthy but the view was great. Leaving the windows open meant it was very noisy. We were next to the stairs so also heard everyone coming and going. Mattress was old and springy.

The service at this place is terrible. The staff are unavailable. It’s so frustrating. The neighborhood is beautiful. The place is walkable to and from the train station.

This hotel is extremely run down, the reception area resembles a building site, reception was never manned. No towels available and television not working in one of our rooms. Avoid

We had a terrible experience. The windows did not open and were unclean. The carpet was unclean too. The beds had one pillow per person with no headboards on the bed. We had no towels and were told they were waiting on the towels - we got these just before checkout. Overall an unpleasant experience.

The worst hotel I have ever been in. Room really dirty, kettle dirty, squeaky bed, squeaky floorboards, moths and Flys galore. The whole vibe of place was awful and depressing. Place needs a big big upgrade on everything.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Rip Off. Dirty. No service.
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! This hotel is a building site that hasn't seen a cleaner for months. Please read more on TA if in doubt! The first room we got offered had no curtains, a dirty bath full of hair, and had a strong paint smell. The second had a burnt bed, holes in the sheets, and a filthy carpet. We did NOT stay and I suggest you dont even book. You pay on site so can't get a refund through hotels.com. We spent an hour on the phone with 'customer services' only to be told their policy required them to escalate the issue to 'the management' . 2 days later our refund request was declined for no reason. A total rip off, they know everybody would request a refund through this portal hence they take your cash on site. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I don't know if the hotel failed to acknowledge the request or if expedia failed to pass it on but we requested a wheelchair accessible room. What we got was a room on a mezzanine floor and accessing it required one of our party to take the lift to the floor above and then shuffle down the stair on her bum whilst I carred the chair down for her. The room was dusty, paint cracked and peeling off, the bathroom just looked gross it desperately needed renovation. Parking overnight cost £10 although that might be advertised somewhere on the site, I certainly didn't see it and I had filtered hotels to just ones with parking. One plus side, the receptionist who greeted us was very accommodating, tried his best to swap us to a more suitable room, was very apologetic and helped out in every way he could.
