Avoid this hotel
Our room smelt of cigarette smoke , the young guy on reception disputed this . Our balcony /terrace was covered in cigarette butts. It had not been cleaned .
Over charged 2 times at £27 . The card machine was faulty according to rude bar staff. Hotel saying they will look into it .
I ordered and paid for champagne to be in our room on arrival . It was not there . I had to kick up a fuss to get the bottle I had paid for as the rude bar staff said they had none left . Several hours later a bottle arrived .
The restaurant was not in use to hotel guests as a private party was being held . The sister hotels also had private parties . We ordered bar snacks “nachos” which arrived disguised as a brick . Completely inedible .
In room the information sheet states that breakfast is ordered vis room service . On arrival the young man ( who was texting on his phone ) told us to order breakfast via room service . At 9am we ordered our room service only to be told that we had to pre book it the night before at reception.
The staff were obnoxious and could not care any less .
Sadly this is the first bad review I have had to leave . I contacted the hotel directly to address my issues . They did not respond .
