The good and the bad
The unit was clean and the beds were comfortable...no problems there. We were on the third (top) floor and the high, sloped ceilings were cool. On-site parking was convenient. I found the configuration of the building novel and intriguing...that was a plus. We had a kitchenette. The utensils were super cheap, low quality, as were the pots and pans. The supplies were minimal (e.g. no salt or cooking oil or anything like that in the kitchenette). I thought the bathroom was cramped and tiny. To me, the room seemed very dated as if it hadn't been improved for ages. The receptionist seemed rather indifferent and detached. On balance, in view of the high cost, I thought it was not good value. There are many better places to stay in Banff. We probably won't stay at Charltons again.

This place is amazing! Our room was one of the nicest I've stayed in. Big, clean, comfortable ... very, very nice. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Location was great for walking to downtown. Loved everything about it.

Place needs a good cleaning
Rooms are a bit dated but otherwise good size and comfortable, however the room was not very clean, there was “stuff” on the glasses on the room, not sure what it was but you would not drink from them. Lots of dust buildup, bent on the bathroom fan has lots of dust clumps. There was no screen on the window so if you opened it for fresh air flies would come in.
