A lodge atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staffs. Our room was large although the bathroom was cramped. The room was very clean and then beds very comfortable. The location is on the Main Street allowing you to either walk downtown or wire a bus to which the hotel gives you free passes. Very pleased with our stay.

We have stayed at the Caribou Lodge on a number of occasions. Located on Banff Avenue, it is a short walk to all the action of downtown, which is great if you want to avoid downtown parking. The rooms are comfortable and if you are fortunate enough to have a room at the rear of the hotel, it is pleasantly quiet. They were in the process of changing the locks to a tap system which was a nice upgrade from sticking your card in a slot. Aside from their pool and spa, there is a Keg restaurant in the hotel. The food is excellent and perfect if you just want to enjoy a relaxing evening meal. They are also open for breakfast which includes a hot or cold buffet as well as the menu. There is also underground parking, which is nice to have. Overall the Caribou Lodge never disappoints.

I was never given a $15 food and drinks voucher even though that was supposed to be included. There was toilet paper on the bathroom that was left unclean and one of the drinking glasses on the bathroom were broken. The staff was extremely rude when checking in, they did not even say hi. Overall, the property looks beautiful from the outside and has lots of potential, is in a good location, and does the job. But the issues outlined above remain.
