Decent stay, old amenities
The service from reception was fast, helpful and efficient. There was ample parking $12 per day. The location off the DVP was great for what we needed. The beds are true doubles and not very big. The king size room was better and had heated flooring in the bathroom. There was a consistent carpet smell throughout the floor and in one of our rooms, possible food/other. Some items seemed old and worn, this hotel could use some updates. Met our basic needs but would choose only if we had something to attend nearby.

Disappointed
We have stayed at this hotel several times, because of its location, close to downtown Toronto. I’m sure it was a beautiful hotel in its day. But obviously it is in need of some updating. It was clean enough and didn’t smell bad. Both my husband and I thought the bed was not very comfortable, not good support. The bed bounced every time one of us turned over. The other thing was when we went downstairs to breakfast it was freezing in the dining room. I sat in front of a small wall heater running and I couldn’t get warm.t breakfast which cost us over 30$ + It was brought up from the kitchen a floor below. It was cold, We were very disappointed. Also when we stayed there before parking was complementary but this time we had to pay. We probably would not stay there again.

Staff members were very friendly and helpful. Picture falling off wall in the room and the electrical outlet in the bathroom was burnt. Other than that the stay was great! Fixing these 2 things would change the initial perception of the hotel.

Awful!
Run down and overall awful. The elevators take FOREVER. The room had stained carpets and ripped wallpaper, and no electrical at all to one of the bedside tables. The AC unit must have been from the 70's and smelled so bad when you turned it on. The bed was horribly uncomfortable. The bar in the lobby advertised being open until 10pm, but when I went to get a cocktail at 4:30pm it was closed. Overall, would not stay here again.

Short stay when passing through Toronto. Great location if one is on the road and continuing east to Ottawa the next morning as it avoids a lot of the city’s traffic.
