Comfortable stay, friendly staff, great location
The hotel and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The welcome cookies were warm and delicious! The room was clean and a good size. However the air conditioning can be a bit loud, especially at night. The good point was that guests can adjust the temperature. The Chinese restaurant at the 2nd level is famous for Chinese food and dim sum, according to friends from Toronto, although I did not have a chance to eat there. Good selection of breakfast from the restaurant on the ground floor. The Asian fried noodles for lunch were yummy.

Great stay
I like this hotel! It's centrally located, and is a good walking distance from most of the attractions in Toronto. the rooms are newly renovated; and the service staff are very nice too!

Good location, but small room
Room was nice, but very small. Good buffet breakfast included. Great location.

DoubleTree has good roots but its leaves are brown
I've been staying at the DoubleTree since it was the Metropolitan, for years. The staff is friendly and helpful to a point. My room had no WiFi and it took three days to get me to a new one. The AC blows on you while you're trying to work at the desk. Now I have a bad cold. Elevators were routinely stalling, I was trapped in one. You can always hear someone sounding the alarm. The concierge is a Zero. Used to be better, can be better again. The price is good, and even though it's in no man's land, it's a quick walk or ride to more interesting areas.
