Bugis is the Arabic and Muslim quarter of Singapore. It’s also a go-to area for a unique shopping experience, as there are plenty of bazaars and markets with an Arabic tinge to them. A must-see is Arab Street; a picturesque and colourful street packed full of boutique shops, restaurants and street vendors.

Hindi influences are also prominent in Bugis – you'll find an impressive-looking Hindu temple, dozens of restaurants serving authentic Indian cuisine, and an overall colourful atmosphere. The Singapore Bazaar and Flea Market are both also in the area, each selling a variety of goods at attractive prices.
