Not Good for Non-Japanese Residents of Japan
I stayed at this hotel once last year. No problems at the desk then. This year the woman at the desk tried the whole "local police require us to photocopy the ID of all foreign guests" ruse which is not how the Minpaku and Hotel law works in Japan. I showed them the law which I have bookmarked on my phone and they relented. However, because of this embarrassing episode I will not be staying here again.
The room itself was fine, but I was right next to the elevator and the walls at this hotel are paper thin. In addition to the young families down the hall, I could hear the gears of the elevator shaft working throughout the night. If you must stay at this hotel, then insist on being at least one room away from the elevators. I was able to partly cover the noise from the elevator by turning the air conditioner up higher, but that may not be a great solution for everyone.

Room was musty and the walls were very thin, got woken up multiple times by a crying baby next door.

Very fast check in/out. Great location for shopping and eating. 12 min walk from train station. Hotel itself is a little old inside (still uses physical keys, and the AC/lighting control looks like it's from the 40s), but everything is clean and comfortable. There's free coffee in the lobby (but I always forgot to take advantage of it). Would recommend.

Convenient hotel at a great price
Welcome gift for ladies, easy check in, nice lobby. Hotel is in very convenient area in Miyazaki city, and the street noise didn't enter the rooms very much luckily. Overall a nice experience, especially for the price.
