Clearwater recovering, Hyatt is a good value.
Used the Hyatt while repairs being made on my flooded house in the area. Clearwater is still recovering from the hurricanes. Staff was great, restaurant open and service was very good. Room was great, no complaints. Large suite, clean, comfortable. Did I say the staff was great? Must be great leadership here at this property.

Sofa bed in the suite was so awful that we didn’t use it!!! It was just springs with a thin sheet around it!!! Staff very uninterested when mentioned in check out! The breakfast was awful! We paid in advance through hotels. Com and when we arrived at the restaurant we found that they were not doing buffet so we had to choose from the a la carte menu and it ended up costing us extra, to be this is not ‘breakfast included’ as it very much was not!!!

Cons- the added cost for the beach chairs when it was listed as an item included in my reservation The question of what kind of service do I want for the room — it should be understood housekeeping is housekeeping The items in the Market were not fresh, the watermelon was soggy & soft. We stayed last year in Clearwater in a hotel which was further away. We picked this one as we felt it was closer to good shops and restaurants and also because the room sizes seemed larger. We were very impressed, the resort is centrally located with a good number of restaurants close by. We booked two rooms for our family of 4 - the only frustration was that they do lot have adjourning rooms so I would recommend booking a suite as one of us had to stay in the room with the children. The resort fee covers more than usual - the towels were a good size and could be taken to the beach, there were poolside activities and we managed to catch the 2pm snack. There was also a welcome glass of wine and free water bottles. I would recommend eating at the poolside restaurant, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and they had an extensive gluten free options for my daughter. I had the stuffed avocado and it was one of the best meals I had on holiday. We will definitely be heading back to Clearwater in the future and we will be re-booking this resort.
