Comfortable but needs maintenance
Comfortable unit, but really needs some cleaning and maintenance. Toilet tanks have lots of mold, master shower leaked, another shower hardly drained, old carpet, mold on one of the a/c vents. They offered to come clean, but these are things that should be maintained BEFORE guests arrive. Comfortable beds and great pools.

Comfortable Stay!
This is a nice place! It’s a huge resort so with small kids driving to the different areas was a must (not walking). If you have small kids or kids of different ages (like still some nappers) and plan to spend a lot of time at the Water Park it might be worth paying extra to stay at River Island so you’d have more flexibility going back to the room throughout the day. Our kids liked the water slide and lazy river but it’s worth noting you have to pay for a tube each day if you want to use that which seems kind of silly. Our kids just swam around and didn’t seem to mind not having one (we weren’t there super long so didn’t buy one). The sit down restaurant at River Island (TradeWinds) was sooo good. We all had excellent food! The drinks at the poolside bar were a little pricey (like 20 dollars for a pina colada) but that seems comparable to other similar resorts we’ve stayed in Orlando. Also beware you will be hit up for the Vacation Club tour (I wasn’t ready and committed to go haha). We did golf, mini golf and the arcade too and overall had a great stay! The room was nicer than I expected from the pictures; we were in the East Village by the golf course.

So so stay.
Cabinets were wrapped not painted so the wrap was coming off. Be aware of the tour they try to con you on or they’ll try to charge you 50$. I had a lady whom I couldn’t understand explaining me the tour process so needless to say I had no idea what was going on when I said no thanks and she had me sign the paperwork.

**Be Prepared for push sales people
Would stay here again but they’re really pushy with their timeshare pitch. Would not leave us alone. Called us in the morning after we had already told them no to taking their tour several times the previous night. The hotel itself is wonderful. But the pushiness was a big turn off.
