STAY AWAY!
Left the hotel within 1 Hour of checking in. Place was overrun by drunk people, walking around with Stanly cups and filling them with booze. One almost threw up. Was insulted by anti-sematic slurs in the lobby. Went to the room, (not cheap one), the lights did not turn on, whole room, the room smelled like mildew, the balcony door was broken and had to force open, the couch had hole in it, and the view was NOT as advertised. Furniture is from 80s and picture on the wall were disturbing. My wife started crying. Few calls later we booked another place and left the hotel. The manager could not care less. By the way, now NEITHER THE HOTEL or HOTELS.COM / EXPEDIA WANT TO REFUND OUR MONEY (ANY OF IT) ALTHOUGH IT WAS A ONE HOUR STAY. Expedia says to contact hotel, hotel says its an Expedia booking. 4 days later, the inept customer service people are doing nothing but telling me it's their policy to talk to the other one. REDICULOUS.. For a website selling hospitality and a hotel which should be about hospitality, both EXPEDIA/HOTELS.COM AND RIU ARE ANYTHING BUT... STAY AWAY!!!!!
