Poor Experience
This hotel may qualify as the worst hotel at which I’ve ever stayed. I was not expecting a five star experience given the price point and location, but I also didn’t expect such poor customer service and condition of the room. I thought it would be okay for a day trip to Honolulu from Maui. It began when I arrived. I stood in line for nearly thirty minutes, along with two other guests, as we waited for the team to reconcile operations. They just left us standing there. Why they would choose to do so at peak check in time, around 330pm is beyond me! The check in process is largely a manual paper process which was also aggravating. When I arrived at the room, I was disappointed to see how very outdated it was. There was a microwave and mini fridge in the room, which was nice, but I used neither. The bed had no headboard and moved when I sat down. The sink was at my mid thigh. The shower tile looked grimy and the shelving in the bathroom was dusty. I noticed there was no iron in the room so I responded to a welcome text to ask about getting one as I’d packed a linen jumper to wear the next day. I was told I needed to return to the front desk to check an iron and ironing board out. I asked if it could be delivered to the room & was told no. I was very disappointed by the response, but was not surprised given my initial experience with the front desk staff. The air conditioner was so loud I had to turn it off to sleep & the bed was very uncomfortable. Definitely WILL NOT go back!
