We visited during the pandemic restrictions which meant a slightly different offer than usual. This only affected the breakfast really. Paul delivered a continental breakfast on a tray rather than a cooked breakfast on the dining room. All of the breakfast elements were fresh and tasty so we didnt mind at all. The room was absolutely lovely. Away from the main house so felt private and enabled us to come and go as we pleased without worrying about disturbing anyone else. Well cared for and spotlessly clean. Little touches made all the difference including beautiful complementary bathroom products, big luxurious towels and tasteful decor, artwork and flowers in the room. Highly recommended for anyone looking for somewhere special to stay in this vibrant Suffolk village where there is lots to do and see.

Cozy, romantic , relaxing stay
After spending two hours looking at reviews and options i chose to book the mill for a night away and booked the garden room .. and im so glad i did! The room was stunning, the wood fire in the room was amazing and cozy and the bath was so relaxing- breakfast was so tasty and so many choices.. paul was so welcoming and friendly and the stay was just perfect .. can't fault it in any way and feel like we've been away for a week not a night ... the only negative is that we hadn't booked to stay longer! Will definitely be booking to go back xx

Great short break in Suffolk
From the email we received a couple of days before our stay with tips on where to eat, to the warm welcome and the excellent service during our stay, I can’t fault The Mill. There are some great restaurants in the village, all a short stroll from the B&B. Breakfast was amazing with some great choices, all cooked freshly to order. We will definitely return, if only to enjoy another relaxing soak in the bath!

Enjoyable Stay 🌸
My Hubby and I were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary whilst also visiting family. The Melford room felt very opulent with the large Slipper Brass Bath within it. Every detail throughout had been lovingly thought out to enable us to enjoy our stay. We borrowed Paul’s Kayak which was a fantastic day out, paddling down the river for lunch, which Paul made reservations for us in advance to ensure we had a table when we got there. The breakfasts where fantastic especially the homemade hatched eggs by the three hens belonging to Paul and his Wife. We had a fantastically, relaxing time... Thank-you Paul for your discreet, friendly hosting. Looking forward to returning again soon...🌸

Hidden gem
Beautiful room very well appointed and immaculate. Walking disrance to village and many shops, bars and restaurants and short drive to places of interest. Host Paul was very helpful and gave great intro to the room and surrounding area.

Perfect luxury retreat
Perfect for a romantic getaway. Bath and shower were luxurious. Gorgeous toiletries, fabulous breakfast. Location is beautiful - surrounded by heritage properties in a quaint village but with a surprising number of quality pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Paul is a warm and welcoming host, doing it for the love of it.
