Background:
We went there on a family trip for four. As mum and dad are not used to sleeping on Tatami, they sleep here and we chose the Onsen hotel nearby.
This hotel only has 2 rooms, Dodoroma and 14R.
It was a Weekend (Sat Sun) stay, so the price almost doubled (from 450USD to almost 780USD).
Normal if you would expect the very high price would mean a high quality service, right?
Arrival:
You need a rental car or taxi to find this place. Quite steep it was. Exterior was nice and staff came out as we arrived.
Staff gave us good impression. Welcomed us with fresh fruit.
Room Interior:
It amazed us at first. Spacious, stylish renovation, nice view Terrace with "mini Onsen", clean, big bed, Nespresso coffee machine, Gender based one-off toilet pack, toilet sensor, ink pen, etc.
However:
The "mini Onsen" is cold. And Dad only found out when he jumped into there on a cold cold night. Poor him.
There is a distilled water dispenser in the room. it was out of water.
Breakfast was served in the room with JP or Western style. Food was just so-so.
Rigid guest policy:
Typhoon was coming. It was cold, raining and slippery.
Mum and dad has quite a lot of luggage to take. And they are not quite strong enough carry heavy stuff. It was only 11am. Of course we would want to go help them.
But the staff did not allow us in.
No matter how we explained. I even google translated the situation. They just don't.
We even called in, and asked them to give permission. And still. They didn't.
