Static houseboat paradise
The description of the resort makes it difficult to resist & it does meet expectations.
It is isolated, once there it's not easy to leave. Set in the lake the bedrooms are under water, similar to a barge construction, though much higher quality. This is a luxurious resort though probably not worth the prices being charged.
The villas each have a roof terrace but it is enclosed complete with iron roof & the open view on to the lake is enclosed by netting, which is probably to do with bird management but for me spoils the setting.
The food is good & huge portions, consider sharing 1 portion of rice. Breakfast standard omelet fruit & Indian. The juice & mocktails though expensive well worth a try.
There is no alcohol available on site, stock up before you go, the mini bar is bare.
A.C fine, WiFi only in lobby. Pool is small but adequate & well maintained. There was only 1 sunbed whilst we were there, not the rattan ones in photos, they are sourcing more.
Overall l am pleased l went, for a night though at £111 a night you can get more value elsewhere just not as unique!
