Disaster taxi service
The room was ok, spacious but a few minor issues - no hand soap, old looking thin towels. Location was fine. Check out was a disaster - booked a taxi to the airport and told it would be 10 minutes, 50 minutes later and numerous requests for money back to book another taxi denied, only to be told ‘it was 1km away’. Ended up grabbing one from the street only just making a flight in time, not a good way to end our stay.

Spacious
We had very large rooms in what appears to have been an apartment or condo, minimally furnished. The plumbing was unpredictable, and the towels were greyed,thin, and worn. The housekeeping staff came very late. But the people were nice, and in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Clean but badly maintained
Check in staff were friendly. The room looked like it had been luxurious in the past, but badly maintained: water stains all over the bathroom, stained carpet, and peeling sinks. Despite the listing stating that rooms had safes, ours didn't; reception was confused about why I thought there should be one, but offered to bring a safe deposit box from an unoccupied room. The room was nice and large, but had a strange layout; a sofa was hidden behind a pillar, and the light switches were all over the the room in such a random orser that when trying to go to bed, we couldn't find the switches to turn off some of the ceiling lights! Because the phone was broken (and didn't get fixed despite my complaint) I had to go down to reception in a dressing gown at 11pm to ask where the light switches were. They sent someone from housekeeping up, who couldn't find them either. Eventually we discovered the (ceiling) light switches... at the back of a cupboard. Frankly, not the best experience I've had in a hotel. I can see how this might have been a 4 star hotel 15 years ago, but now I've been to better 3-stars in Bangkok that also were cheaper. One upside is that the location is quite good; 10 minutes walk to Silom MRT and the BTS.

Everything in room was old. Smells old. Looks old. Many stains, marks, scratches here and there. The wall was paper thin. I can hear everything from the hallway. There's a pilar in the superior double room. Very inconvenient.
