Terrible miscommunication front desk employees
I was bumped off my early morning flight and decided to stay at the Swisshotel. When I arrive at 6:30am they told it was too early to check in and that they were fully booked, so I would not be able to have an early check in and would have to wait till at 10:00-11:00am for housecleaning to make my room. They told me that I can sit in the lobby and they will inform once my room was ready for me. I checked with another girl at the front desk around 9:00am and she said the room was still not ready, however, she reassured me that they knew I was waiting and as soon as the room was ready, they would come and get me. At 10:30am, I checked again with a different front desk girl, this time my room was ready! How long was my room waiting for me? I think the girls at the front desk dropped the bomb and made promises they didn’t keep! It wasn’t super busy up there and I was super tired sitting on an uncomfortable couch in the lobby. I wanted to complain to many but was more tired and anxious to get to my room! I realize that the normal check in time was 2:00pm, but don’t make promises you can’t keep and especially from 2 different people! The hotel hotel is nice and elegant overall but being a service oriented industry, it could be a 5-star hotel with 2-star staff!
