Great stop over
A brief stop over on our trip down South through France a very good stopover and relaxing following a very long day. We both slept well and the breakfast was very good. The hotel grounds looked inviting but unfortunately we did not have the wetaher.

What a find!
The Hermitage was an excellent find. We were using it as a stop over traveling from the south of France to St Malo. We were delighted to find it has a superb restaurant and tranquil and lovely ground in which to walk around. We would definitely stop here again

Dissatisfaction
Very disappointing room tatty and ill equipped, noisy, generally unloved and need of modernisation, restaurant was ok a tad pretentious and expensive , wine was exorbitantly price. The village was ugly, depressed and not a good advert for france

Q
We arrived late because of problems at Eurotunnel. We arrived as serving was closing but the manager did offer to serve us dinner. Unfortunately he then told us that we wouldn't be allowed to take our Labrador into the restaurant. We had specially chosen this hotel because the symbol said we could do that. He told us it wouldn't be hygienic! Our dog sits under the table and you wouldn't know she was there unlike the number of lap dogs which we have actually seen, at other hotels, sitting on a dining chair at the table. We didn't have dinner.

Wonderful food in small village.
Food is fabulous, fantastic breakfast and very good dinner.
The only downside to this hotel was the incredibly small toilet closet. Impossible to close the door unless seated. Huge bathroom but minute toilet!
Wifi only available for 2 hrs., then has to be replaced.
Fantastic staff and restaurant staff.

Good stop-over hotel
We stayed in this hotel on the recommendation of friends as a suitable stop-over between the Dordogne and the channel ports. The hotel and it's grounds were lovely but the village seemed a little run down.

Dated decor, dismal Wi-Fi, poor breakfast
We had high hopes for this hotel but our room was in an outbuilding detached from the main hotel building. The decoration and furnishings in our room were very cheap and dated and the room was in need of an update. Wi-Fi was unobtainable in our room and it was necessary to venture outside to pick up a signal from main building. Besides the poor signal, only 2 hours of free Wi-Fi was allocated to each client and it wasn't clear whether that was continuous from first log on. Dinner was reasonable, but pricey - breakfast was poor with unripe and inedible fruit being one of the limited choice of items on offer. The grounds of the hotel, which advertising implies were once reward-winning, are in need of attention.

Superb food
We stayed here for one night on the way to the South of France and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The room provided exactly what we were looking for and was clean and well-maintained. But the highlight was the evening meal which was quite simply one of the best we have ever experienced. The food was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. We never expected anything so good.

Perfect 'correct' French hotel
Excellent service, comfortable room - despite the loo being in a cupboard, which sounds grim, but it isn't really - the bathroom is excellent! Perfect meal, served very correctly and professionally. The wine list is dominated by Loire wines, appropriately. Fine walks down to the river, and in the town nearby.
