There was a strange smell in reception when I arrived. Staff were friendly enough, but despite checking in online they wanted ID to prove my age (which I didn’t have as i hadn’t realised/read I needed any). The room was recently refurbished and therefore in good condition - basic but really good value for money! Only issue was that it was noisy - I was room 1 which is next to reception and I could hear everything the staff were saying, as well as noise from the corridor.

The Days Inn was clean and tidy. Rooms well appointed and the staff amazingly friendly. I loved being able to wander into the Service Station and just have what I wanted for breakfast rather than having to pay £11 or £12 for a breakfast when I only have a very small appetite. The staff at this hotel were excellent and exceptionally helpful. The building itself had issues with maintenance; for example, the toilet seat was held in place by one pin, the towel rail in the bathroom was hanging off the wall, and the tv & internet was unreliable. However, the staff did everything possible to alleviate any issues. Recommended
