The beach access is great. Drinks are plentiful, the rooms and common areas are clean. The staff for the most part are friendly, but will be unhelpful if you book any excursions and need to be picked up on the other properties on site. The food however is overall lacking, especially if you are vegetarian or vegan. Overall a great stay if you're looking to unwind and relax.

After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit hesitant on booking this property. But I don’t know what all the complaining was about, because this property is a 10 . The rooms were spacious and absolutely stunning. The ocean and the beach was a 1 min walk from our room, the buffet and the food selection was very tasty and well prepared. The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay very enjoyable. I would highly highly recommend staying at the Esmeralda Bahia Principe.

I was upgraded to a swim up room , very happy about it. The resort is beautiful with many activities. The food is good but could be excellent if the cook knows what how to cook and training the other people who work in the kitchen. The fishes and meat with no taste and dry.

Bday dinner is perfect ! Beach access right by the pool area is convenient and great for families. The staff from guest experience, bartenders, pool attendants, reception were all warm and always happy to help make your experience memorable. Entertainment by the pool and in the evening activities were all so much fun for kids and parents we loved it!
