We came back around 10pm after being out all day and found that they had cleaned the bathroom but did not make the bed… the also didn’t clean much, we left some empty chip bags and tissues (clearly meant to be thrown away) and they left them there. However, the room was good considering Paris standards.

The place was clean and the staff was helpful. The breakfast options were actually good. It is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, grocery store, and a bakery. The area is pretty quite. The size of the room is a little cramped, even for 2. The room was warm, with the a/c at max. The refrigerator does not keep anything cold. Overall, the hotel is great for a short stay.

A solid deal for a solo traveler

A 4-star hotel named Hotel de Bretagne ideally located to a quiet area for a good night sleep to recharge coming from a long-haul flight from LAX to Orly, to catch a TGV fast train at Gare Montparnasse minutes away from the hotel towards Avenue du Maine. I got the room 54 on top floor and the room was clean with a good bed and all amenities as expected. I was travelling solo so this room was fine but probably too small for a couple. The bed is Queen and no outside noise at all with curtains fitting perfectly the only window overlooking Paris roofs. The reception desk was very helpful in getting me checked in. I also loved the noon checkout. They also provide complimentary umbrellas which happened to be very convenient as in my evening I had to get dinner on Avenue du Maine. They offered croissants as much as you can eat and unlimited coffee for 5 €and more full breakfast for 25.

The spiral staircase was fun! We stayed on the 5th floor and used the stairs because the elevator was small, not ideal for 4 people. There was a very bad water leak in the stairwell when it rained. We let front desk know and they put a bucket under it. The breakfast was not worth the money so we didn’t get it. We were able to walk to some things and Uber to the others. Couldn’t figure out the public transportation system ticketing so Uber it was. The hotel provided nice umbrellas for us to use on the rainy days and that was appreciated considering it rained every day we were there. Overall, it is a cute place, roomy for 4 people in the room with a loft, and quiet.
