I would not recommend this hotel at all. Firstly, the location - tourist that it's they're first time bn Chiang mai should kbow it is 30 min drive to the old city and main tourist attractions. Yes, there's a western bigbmall near the resort but that's not the reason to cone to Chiang mai.
Secondly and maybe more important - the hotel had seen better days, and the cleaning staff is doing the minimum required, and even less that that. The hotel is old and dirty, I didn't take a shoeer and slept with my clothes over the bed sheets. And I am not very picky usually.
Luckily, with the help of Expedia customer service I was able to get a partial refund and I ran away from there after one night (was suppose to stay 5 nights in total)
One possitive thing is the garden which is very nice kn an old colonial decade kind of a look. If you like thise sort of things.
