The Empress is regal and inviting. Keep it up.
Attending conference centre nearby. Staff are friendly. Want to really commend the housekeeping team of ladies. Polite and asked me nicely when i want my room cleaned when i encountered them in the corridor. My room was spick and span. Pool was nice. Pool is nice. Very clean..sloping desig is unique. Only recommendation is to have an outdoor clock perhaps for those swimming to check the time. The clock at the bar is too small. Breakfast tasty and good variety, the staff very professional and clears plates fast. Hotel looks old from the facade but it is well maintained. The premier wing next door looks very elegant. Staff turndown service is nice. Flowers, goodie bag, really feel pampered. Walking distance to the night market but takes about 15 mins past a neighbourhood shopping centre. Enjoyed my stay and look forward to coming back again.

Furniture/fittings/interior looks old - don’t have the ‘modern’ feel like the international chain of hotels.

Reasonably priced hotel in convenient location
This is a mid-range hotel. It is good for the price. When I stay there, they upgrade me to a room with fresh fruit, flowers, and turn down gifts. The breakfast is okay--nothing too special. The staff are generally kind and will greet you. The location is good--near a great Japanese restaurant and an American style cafe, Butter is Better, as well as sneaky short cuts to Thapae gate. I like this hotel.

Though an old hotel but maintained very well. The staff is courteous and the service is excellent. I would recommend this hotel.
